Horwich Farrelly’s, awards nominated, paid Vacation Scheme will give you the opportunity to spend two weeks in our Manchester head office, with the opportunity to work within our Credit Hire or Counter Fraud departments, where you will be assigned your own training buddy who will offer you support and guidance.
We will provide you with a blend of work-based activities including a mock trial, attending court and presentations from our Partners. We want you to get to grips with how we tackle fraud and you will be provided with invaluable exposure as to how the department operates day to day. You will have the opportunity to work alongside experienced lawyers and gain an insight into what it is actually like to be a Trainee Solicitor.
It isn’t all work and no play though! We will provide you with professional development sessions, social activities and an after work dinner.
As a rapidly expanding practice we are looking to recruit a high percentage of those participating in the Vacation Scheme, so this is a real chance for you to shine and establish a successful career in law. Our vacation scheme first launched in 2017. Around 70% of those from past schemes are offered full time roles at the firm, including a number who subsequently complete training contracts and qualify.
It is also worth noting our training contracts are only available to internal employees and, after six months with us, you will be eligible to apply with no external competition.
What are we looking for?
