We are excited to launch our new Motor Claims Forum – an exclusive roundtable series bringing together specialists from across the motor and insurance markets. Next week, the first session will see leaders from HF’s Motor Volume, Cyber, Predictive Analytics and Northern Ireland teams leading the start of a dynamic, quarterly programme.

The forum will take a focused, strategic and in-depth look at developments and environments shaping motor claims in 2026 and beyond.

The small, specialist format provides the opportunity for deeper and more meaningful insight with participants exploring emerging risks and challenges from multiple technical and legal perspectives. Each quarterly session will feature a rotating lineup of HF specialists tackling topical issues with valuable, innovative, forward-looking insight.

What’s on the agenda?
  • Horizon scanning & the new JCG update:
    Reviewing the latest Judicial College Guidelines update with its potential impact on valuation trends, claimant behaviours and overall litigation strategy. An early view of the risks and opportunities for insurers over the coming months.
  • Northern Ireland market update:
    A senior representative from our Belfast team will analyse the implications of the increase in costs in the Northern Ireland County Court and High Court and review the likely impact of the imminent increase in the County Court Jurisdiction from £30,000 to £60,000. Discussion will cover the increase in PI awards in NI and issues surrounding  existing/new accident management companies.
  • Cyber and autonomous vehicles:
    Partner & Head of Cyber Consulting, Craig Kennedy, will lead a discussion on the growing intersection between cyber risk and the motor sector, including the rise of autonomous vehicles and increasing digitisation.
  • AI in claims:
    Partner & Head of Predictive Analytics and Data, Simon Forster, will demonstrate the practical application of AI within claims handling and how the insurers can benefit from data and predictive modelling by underpinning early intervention strategies and supporting decision-making throughout the claims lifecycle alongside accurate forecasting of outcomes.
  • The Intermediate Track:
    An in-depth look at the effects of the Intermediate Track on motor litigation strategy, progression and cost management. Our team will share observations on early trends and anticipated developments.
