Our Construction Expertise

Adjudication is a fast, cost-effective way to resolve construction disputes, widely used in the UK and increasingly in Ireland. With deep experience acting as both representatives and adjudicators, we know when adjudication is the right approach and how to deliver strong outcomes. Our dual-qualified legal and construction professionals produce high-quality submissions under tight deadlines.

We have four experienced adjudicators within our team and are all on various adjudicator panels, including the ICE, RICS, UKA and the Ministerial Panel in the Republic of Ireland. They can also be appointed by party agreement.

We have a long-standing track record in arbitration, handling complex, high-value construction disputes both domestically and internationally. Our team combines legal and technical expertise to navigate proceedings with precision, always aligning strategy with our clients’ commercial goals. With deep familiarity in communicating with arbitrators and opposing parties, we deliver confident representation in a process that offers privacy, flexibility, and binding outcomes.

We have extensive experience guiding clients through conciliation and mediation in construction disputes across the UK and Ireland. Our accredited mediators and legal experts regularly represent parties and act as facilitators, including appointments as Standing Conciliators under Irish Public Works Contracts. This dual perspective helps us unlock agreements and deliver successful outcomes.

We specialise in preparing and assessing construction claims, supporting both paying and executing parties across all standard contract forms and common law. Our team combines legal, technical, and financial insight to handle claims ranging from variations and disruption to prolongation and defective works. With a proven track record, we turn well-crafted claims into powerful tools for negotiation and resolution.

We provide expert contract drafting and advice for complex construction projects across the UK, Ireland, and beyond. With deep experience in both procurement and dispute resolution, we help clients identify risks early and craft clear, effective agreements - whether using standard forms or bespoke conditions. Our team supports both public and private sector tendering, ensuring contracts reflect commercial intent and stand up to legal scrutiny throughout the project lifecycle.

We offer a detailed contract review service tailored for contractors, subcontractors, and consultants seeking clarity on risk before signing construction agreements. Using a clear traffic light system: red for onerous terms, amber for elevated risk, and green for key considerations. We highlight critical issues and suggest practical amendments to support negotiation.

We deliver tailored training and professional development for both public and private sector organisations, drawing on deep expertise in procurement, contract law, and commercial practice. From general legal principles to specialist contract frameworks like NEC, FIDIC, and Public Works Contracts, our sessions enhance staff capability and confidence.
