Apprenticeships with HF

Our key recruitment goal is to attract, recruit and retain the best and most diverse workforce possible. Our apprenticeship scheme is key to breaking down barriers to accessing a career in law so that we can benefit from a larger, more varied pool of talent.

We’ve run apprenticeships in partnership with BPP since 2015 and have a proven track record of producing great lawyers from the scheme.

If you’re interested in pursuing a career in law without costly university tuition fees and with the benefit of invaluable experience of the job right from the start, keep an eye out for the application window opening in early 2025. To keep up to date with all HF news, follow us on LinkedIn.

Level 3 Paralegal Apprenticeships

The Level 3 Paralegal apprenticeship is a two year course and upon completion, candidates can then apply for the Level 7 Solicitor Apprenticeship. This opportunity combines a hands-on approach with the academic knowledge required to be a successful Paralegal without the cost of a degree. One day each week is dedicated to off-the-job study with the four remaining days in the office or remote working. Attention to detail, communication skills and managing pressure in a busy environment are key attributes that are part of this role and others in the legal industry.

“Enrolling on the Solicitor Apprenticeship route with HF way back in 2019 was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. Since taking on this role, I’ve had constant opportunities to improve and challenge myself…I’d say the practical experience, skills and knowledge gained are something money can’t buy.”

“I’m currently in year 5 of 6 and, all being well, will qualify next year! I want to continue progressing my career with HF and further into the future would consider working at the CPS. I highly recommend qualifying via the apprenticeship route – I’ve gained invaluable skills and knowledge all whilst being paid and having no student debt.”

“I began assisting & then took on my own case load dealing with causation concerns. In 2021 I was nominated for “Young Fraud Investigator of the year”. Undertaking an apprenticeship has given me the opportunity to gain valuable experience from an early age and work towards my necessary professional qualification, all while being paid a wage.”
