Alistair has more than 20 years’ experience dealing with large and complex injury claims arising out of employers' and public liability claims and motor accidents. He specialises in dealing with claims involving head and spinal injuries, amputation and fatalities and has a particular interest in chronic pain conditions, and claims with an element of fraud/exaggeration. He works closely with a number of insurers throughout the UK conducting early investigations through to resolution and also has experience in dealing with foreign claims. Alistair regularly provides client training to insurers on a wide range of technical issues. Notable cases include Alker v Collingwood Housing Association where he acted for the defendant in relation to a Defective Premises Act claim which set out the correct test under S.4(1).
