The Personal Injuries (NHS Charges) (Amounts) (Scotland) Amendment Regulations 2021 2021 and The Recovery of Health Services Charges (Amounts) (Amendment) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2021 have been published and the new rates are effective from 1 April 2021.

The Personal Injuries (NHS Charges) (Amounts) (Amendment) Regulations 2021 for England and Wales, The Personal Injuries (NHS Charges) (Amounts) (Scotland) Amendment Regulations 2021 2021 and The Recovery of Health Services Charges (Amounts) (Amendment) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2021 have been published and the new rates are effective from 1 April 2021.

The increases are nominal across the board. Whilst not significant on a claim by claim basis, this will add to combined reserves.
We are ensuring that all our handlers use the revised figures for relevant claims in due course and our clients will also need to ensure that their reserves for relevant claims on or after 1 April 2021 reflect the increased charges.
