The Airmic Annual Conference 2025 made its way to the ACC exhibition centre in Liverpool. This year’s theme, ‘Another World is Possible’, focused on the need for an innovative and forward-thinking approach to risk management.

The event gathered industry leaders from across the risk management, insurance, broker, and legal sectors, all bringing a wealth of experience to the insightful discussions that explored the evolving landscape of risk management.

The HF Horsebox

We had a great presence this year, with over 20 of our talented professionals attending. On day two of the conference, we were stationed in the Piazza outside the ACC, where the HF Horsebox served refreshments throughout the day. It proved to be a real hit – the relaxed, open-air setting was the perfect backdrop for catching up with clients, colleagues and new connections.

Convention floor

Inside the venue, the exhibition space was dynamic and engaging. It was a hub of activity with major insurance companies, risk management firms, brokers, and legal firms utilising the space to create a vibrant atmosphere. Our team made the most of the opportunity to speak with clients old and new, forge new connections and take part in the conversations shaping the future of our industry. It was also a great platform to share more about our expansion into new areas of risk and insurance, connecting with key decision-makers to discuss emerging challenges and reinforce HF’s position as a forward-thinking legal partner.

Seminars

The conference featured a diverse range of seminars designed to equip risk professionals with fresh insights and practical strategies. Attendees were able to engage in thought-provoking talks on geopolitical risks, emerging threats and best practices in risk management.

We heard from renowned journalist, Dr Clive Myrie, who provided a compelling perspective on geopolitics and global uncertainty, exploring how international events impact risk management and offering his understanding of how businesses can navigate an increasingly volatile world.

Robert Peston, Political editor for ITV, reflected on the turbulence of modern politics and how overseas events can directly impact the UK markets.

Other seminars focused on pressing challenges such as climate risks, supply chain resilience, cyber threats, AI and emerging risks.

Conclusion

This year’s event once again underscored the value of bringing the industry together to exchange ideas and help shape the future. Our involvement throughout the event reflects our continued growth and commitment to leading in the risk and legal landscape. As the challenges facing the industry evolve, events like this remain a vital space to come together and look ahead.
