Costs

Chris has over 25 years' experience in all aspects of costs arising from road traffic accidents, casualty, aviation, disease, construction, professional negligence, financial risks, tax, competition, planning/environment and Admiralty matters.

He acts for both paying and receiving parties covering all aspects of costs litigation from preparation of Court pleadings to appearing as advocate at Court, both costs management and detailed assessment.

Chris works collaboratively with clients presenting bespoke solutions to balance their desired outcomes and risk tolerance. His tenacity in securing the best outcome for clients has seen appeal success in the Court of Appeal, High Court and Count Court.  He oversees two teams in the department, leading on several client relationships and strategies. He also sits on the FOIL costs sector focus team.
