Simon joined Horwich Farrelly in 2015 from Greenwoods. With over 30 years litigation experience acting on behalf of insurers and self insureds Simon is a recognised expert in the field of occupational disease, employers and public liability. He undertakes large loss and complex claims and is an expert on costs. Notable cases include Pirelli General plc v Gaca (2004), an employer’s liability claim which allowed the defendants to take account of payments under ill health policies, and Harland & Wolff plc and Another v McIntyre (2006) and Chandler v Cape Plc. Simon was appointed Deputy District Judge in 2013.
