Alison has over 30 years’ experience of handling employers’ liability and public liability casualty and disease claims.

Based in the Leeds office, her area of specialism is industrial disease claims and she handles all types; NIHL, HAVS, WRULD, stress and respiratory claims, but with a main focus on asbestos related illnesses, mesothelioma claims and other types of occupationally induced cancer claims.

Alison handles claims from letter of claim stage to conclusion of the litigation process, conducting enquiries into complex corporate and insurance histories, carrying out investigations into liability and advising on high value quantum claims. She has acted for a number of major insurers / re-insurers, public sector bodies and corporate clients.

Since 2013, Alison has led a team that handles a legacy book of disease claims for a major re-insurer, providing an end-to-end solution from initial policy interrogation and the triaging of new claims, through claims investigation and litigation to the settlement of costs.
