Based in our Leeds office, Jonathan has worked in the defendant insurance litigation industry for over 15 years. He represents insurer and broker clients, focusing primarily on catastrophic large loss civil claims (employers’ liability and public liability), fatal accidents and regulatory/motor crime matters.
He also represents both corporate Insureds and individual clients at pre-inquest reviews, inquests and sentencing hearings. Jonathan frequently receives instructions from clients in the sport and leisure industry, successfully dealing with high value dependency claims and matters where health and safety investigations are being conducted by the HSE, EHO's and governmental bodies.
A tenacious litigator who regularly achieves extremely positive outcomes for clients, Jonathan utilises technological advances where appropriate to help implement persuasive, cogent tactical strategies. Ensuring his clients adopt a responsive approach to risk management following industrial accidents, Jonathan’s successes include many instances where health and safety prosecutions have been avoided, resulting in clients achieving significant financial savings.
