Central Services

Michael joined HF in 2008 and has a breadth of expertise in Counter Fraud Insurance Litigation. He was made a Partner in 2017, becoming Legal Operations Director in 2019 and took responsibility for Operations within Central Services in 2022. As Chief Operating Officer he is a member of the HF Executive Board and senior leadership team. His experience in leading legal departments and managing central services departments is key to maximising the synergies of operational excellence across the entire firm. He champions operational efficiency, best practice and outstanding service delivery through the best use of technology, innovation, data and process re-engineering. Michael oversees the property portfolio (including moving the firm’s Manchester HQ to new flagship offices within Media City), how our people use technology and our core systems to optimise working and service delivery along with our approach on operational risk, quality and performance. He also leads on onboarding new teams and lines of work within the business.
